Insurance in India as a sector is the fastest growing in the country since 2000 as the federal government allowed private sector and Foreign Direct Investment up to 26%. Life insurance in India was once upon a time a protected sector i.e. nationalized. This was done by incorporating the LIC, in the year 1956. In those days, in order to nationalize the insurance sector all the companies providing insurance and investment services were absorbed by the LIC. Thus for almost half a century, LIC has enjoyed monopoly status in the Indian insurance market landscape.
After the foreign currency crisis subsided, the government of India instituted a commission known as the RV Malhotra committee. The chief purpose of this committee was to lay down the road map for the ultimate privatization of the Indian insurance sector.
Although the committee has submitted its final draft in the year 1994, it wasn’t until 2000 before the relevant legislation could see the light of the day in the parliament. The legislation with the intent to privatize the sector was enacted in 2000 that amended the insurance act of 1938. Also the regulatory body IRDA-Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority was instituted by the IRDA act of 2000. Following this important and watershed legislation IRDA started issuing service license to private players.
At present, apart from LIC there are 22 private sector life insurers operating in the Indian market and many more waiting in the pipeline. Almost all of them have been a joint venture between global insurance giants and Indian groups.
Another important piece of legislation that followed was the FDI policy in the insurance sector. Prior to 2006, Foreign Direct Investment was not allowed to in this sector. But post 2006, FDI up to a maximum limit of 26% was allowed. IRDA stipulated that FDI in any Indian insurance companies shall be limited to 26% of the total equity issued; the balance must be funded by indigenous promoter entities.
Regardless of the above mentioned changes in the policy concerning insurance, LIC the state controlled behemoth still remains the largest player of the sector.
Effective Training for Prospecting & Cold Calling New Life Insurance Leads!

Life insurance sales training & cold call training is essential in the insurance industry, yet so many new insurance agents are “struggling” to make sales in their formative years as new agents.
How do I know this?
I’ve been a sales coach for the last 3 years and most of my clients who come to me for coaching were insurance agents, mortgage brokers, financial advisors and network marketers, among almost every other industry you could think of at some time or another.
Among some of the more abstract industries for cold calling coaching, I’ve even trained army recruiters, who cold called parents to sign their under 21 year old child to the armed forces, a funeral pre-burial service for humans (and pets, believe it or not) and many others.
My point is, I know cold calling and what is required for life insurance sales training to be effective. What many sales trainers teach are often fairly “high-pressure” techniques (I know, I’ve seen the new agents sales scripts). My first advice is to throw out the scripts, and from there we work on the mindset first and foremost, and we stay in alignment with low-pressure, no force, philosophies when selling, which is truly the way to win new business.
Once we get the mindset right, we can then begin on wording and making calls, but first we need to role play the specific scenario’s for who the industry that the agents will be calling on.
This is often where many hiccups occur, the poor new agent is so “Hyped Up” from their initial training, they have “no hope” of making a sale the old way without exerting pressure and losing trust, and while they might make sales, their going to feel uncomortable, pressure their clients and run the risk of losing them at a later date.
Actually, most of the time I get asked the question… “How do I get my foot in the door, so I’m in front of a new prospect? I’m right once I can sit down with them and I normally get the sale.”
But they often blow it before they can get to sit down and have a chat, so that’s where a new low-pressure approach fits in and helps melt away the pressure and “open doors” on that first cold call.
Normal life insurance sales training won’t cover this angle of sales for new agents, becuase the mindset you learn is so very different.
My recommendation is to be yourself, take the hype out, and just have a conversation like you’re talking to a friend.
That alone will be worth thousands to you, because in the long term when it comes down to you and the mirror, you need to get results for “yourself” first and foremost, and by getting to the truth of where the client is at, will certainly help you open sales, if not now, down the track.

This can cause specific symptoms to appear such as fatigue, mood swings, digestive problems, constipation, headaches and many more. A detox program rests the organs through fasting, stimulates the liver to drive out toxins, promotes elimination through the kidneys, intestines, and skin, improves blood circulation and refuels the body with nutrients. Detoxification works by addressing every cell in the body.
Types of Detoxification

Detoxification is generally harmless and safe, however if you exceed the recommended time frame it can lead to nutritional deficiency. There is some risk associated with detox procedures such as colon cleanses which can cause perforation in the lining of the bowel, infection or water intoxication, however risks are low.
When should You Detox?
Recommended detox programs should be done 1-2 times a year depending upon your level of health. Or if you have symptoms such as unexplained fatigue, sluggish elimination, constipation, irritated skin, allergies, bags under the eyes, distended stomach, menstrual difficulties, mental confusion, aches and pains, headaches, and digestive problems. A short program normally lasts 3-7 days. Some practitioners recommend doing a cleanse or detox at the change of each season due to the overexposure to airborne pollutants, refined and processed foods, radiation, prescription medications, alcohol and drug use. The more toxins within your environment that you are exposed to, the more a detox may be necessary.
What should you expect after a Detox?
Depending upon which detox you decide to undertake, will determine how difficult it is on you mentally and physically.
